Barton brings high-level grip strength with the ability to steer and gain instant leverage. These abilities, along with his athleticism, will allow him to thrive and protect him from his physical limitations.

Grade: (90.975) - 1st Round Grade

#02 - Jackson Powers-Johnson OC Oregon

Positives

+Good size

+Good power, plus leg drive in the run game
+Takes solid angles to blocks
+Balanced in pass pro
+Flys to second level

Areas of Improvement

-Leaves chest open
-Often finds himself high of stance

Quick Hit

Powers-Johnson went on a steady climb pre-draft among the community, and as the draft approached in its final weeks, it seemed the rumors swirled that it may have been more hype than not. I believe the hype he brings, the tenacity, strength, and power you'd want in a modern NFL center.

Positives

+Wide body individual
+Finds work
+Absolute mauler in run game

+Would be a unit for any team out in space

Areas of Improvement

-Arm length is a real issue because he does lean to make up for it.
-Every play tends to get into his chest because of the arm length
-Inconsistency in hand placement

Quick Hit

Cooper Beebe is why watching offensive linemen is so fun; he is just an absolute dog, and I am here for it. I hope he is able to find the same success at the next level, but I understand scouts' concerns. Personally, I will take this bet.

Grade: (86.95) - 2nd Round Grade

#04 - Zach Frazier OC West Virginia

Positives

+Plus anchor and ability to establish leverage

Areas of Improvement

-Undersized and limited length
-Limited athlete that visibly struggles to make blocks at the second level
-Proper technique can disappear when move blocking

Quick Hit

Frazier is more old school to me in that he isn't the greatest mover, but he is stout, has vise grips for hands, has power to move defenders, and he has the mentality to finish the block strong.

Grade: (85.875) - 2nd Round Grade

2023 Player Profile Archive

2023 Player Profile Archives Quarterbacks Bryce Young QB Alabama When you watch Bryce Young, you can't help but think of Drew Brees because of the number he wears and the skill he has throwing the ball, while some of his mannerisms, ability to escape the pocket, and ability to throw on the move are almost a spitting image of Deshaun Watson. Bryce Young understands the mental side of the game. His time to throw has increased slightly this season, which is understandable given that he has lost some significant offensive talent. I still believe he has an elite capacity for moving through his progressions with a quick throwing motion that allows for good throw timing. He is also extremely accurate, doing an excellent job of aligning his head, body, and feet for precise ball placement. He demonstrates NFL arm strength when both set and on the run. The inconsistencies in velocity are the source of the majority of my concerns. I believe the problem is fixable and is caused by an inconsist...

2024 1st Round Mock Draft

1. Chicago Bears | QB Caleb Williams USC This pick was selected months ago but we know they'll go the entire time for no reason at all, we can move on... 2. Washington Commanders | QB Jayden Daniels LSU The Commanders start their new era with a new franchise quarterback. The hope is he can propel the team to relevance again. With how they've been hitting the headlines recently fans have to still be shaky of the new administration. 3. New England Patriots | QB Drake Maye North Carolina They fielded offers for certain, but in the final hours it seems they have settled on Maye if he falls. This is great for the franchise and Mayo who I am excited to see take over the team.  4. *Trade* Minnesota Vikings | QB JJ McCarthy Michigan Folks, we have a trade to announce! The final "top" quarterback on the board compels the Vikings to move up to stay relevant and the Cardinals are prepared to deal as we saw last year.  5. *Trade* Indianapolis Colts | WR Marvin Harrison Jr. Ohio S...
