2024 1st Round Mock Draft

1. Chicago Bears | QB Caleb Williams USC

This pick was selected months ago but we know they'll go the entire time for no reason at all, we can move on...

2. Washington Commanders | QB Jayden Daniels LSU

The Commanders start their new era with a new franchise quarterback. The hope is he can propel the team to relevance again. With how they've been hitting the headlines recently fans have to still be shaky of the new administration.

3. New England Patriots | QB Drake Maye North Carolina

They fielded offers for certain, but in the final hours it seems they have settled on Maye if he falls. This is great for the franchise and Mayo who I am excited to see take over the team.

4. *Trade* Minnesota Vikings | QB JJ McCarthy Michigan

Folks, we have a trade to announce! The final "top" quarterback on the board compels the Vikings to move up to stay relevant and the Cardinals are prepared to deal as we saw last year.

5. *Trade* Indianapolis Colts | WR Marvin Harrison Jr. Ohio State

Some late news in the public at least suggest Irsay would like to get a Harrison back on the team. With no tackles being chosen in the top four, the Chargers feel comfortable moving down to 15 and moving back up if needed.

6. New York Giants | WR Malik Nabers LSU

Some teams have him as their top wideout, the Giants are able to do what they've been trying to do for years.

7. Tennessee Titans | OT Joe Alt Notre Dame

While not my favorite tackle they all are so closely graded I cannot fault one way or another. I feel like Alt has been linked to the Titans at seven just as long as Caleb has been linked to the Bears at one.

8. Atlanta Falcons | ED Dallas Turner Alabama

Atlanta needs an edge rusher and one that can drop into coverage when needed. Perfect fit.

9. *Trade* New Orleans Saints | OT Olu Fashanu Penn State

Saints need line help desperately and the Titans have started the process, the run could start, they don't want to wait and the Bears facilitate.

10. New York Jets | TE Brock Bowers Georgia

The team has done a lot of work in getting new weapons. Bowers gives the Jets something different while giving Rodgers a new target.

11. *Trade* Arizona Cardinals | WR Rome Odunze Washington

The team trades back, gets more picks, including an extra first, and still ends up bringing in a potential number one wide receiver. Couldn't ask for a better option.

12. *Trade* Philadelphia Eagles | CB Quinyon Mitchell Toledo

Sirianni and Mitchell's old Head Coach are great friend and there are similarities in play styles to Darius Slay. Howie is always testing the waters for trades so you have to read between the lines of why it's being reported so much. I think the move happens.

13. Las Vegas Raiders | QB Michael Penix Jr. Washington

This still feels like the Oakland Raiders during the draft with the Davis family hands all over it. I feel like one may never understand this team. Penix is a great story, but I don't see the value at 13.

14. *Trade* Chicago Bears | OT JC Latham Alabama

Brought in for a "30 visit," the Bears look to upgrade the protection for their new franchise player.

15. LA Chargers | OT Taliese Fuaga Oregon State

The chargers are crushed to loose out on their trade back target only to settle for one of two blue chips in the class for me. They get an upgrade in finisher mentality with this one. Great pick!

16. Seattle Seahawks | OT Troy Fautanu Washington

Troy and his old coordinator reunite at the next level to beef up the offensive line where Fautanu provides flexibility.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars | CB Terrion Arnold Alabama

The Jags may look to make a move for one of the star wideouts asking for trades and extensions but they need DB help and Arnold is no consolation prize. The Jags draft my top corner who falls due to tackles and quarterbacks rising.

18. Cincinnati Bengals | IDL Byron Murphy II Texas

They did a lot of work on the interior rushers, but with Hendrickson asking for a trade or retirement due to no movement on a contract extension, I almost went Verse here. In the end, I go with the guy I don't think the Bengals ever thought they had a shot at.

19. LA Rams | OT Armarius Mims Georgia

Rams look to lock in a corner of the line for years to come. The final of my top tackles, Mims has so much upside. Rams get to capitalize on the fall of him due to the fall of great defensive players.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers | IOL Graham Barton Duke

The Steelers need a center and the top tackles and receivers are gone. Feels easy, and apparently these guys have a high hit rate, so the Steel City can feel confident in this pick.

21. Miami Dolphins | IOL Jackson Powers-Johnson Oregon

Again, hit rate is high for the position, its a area of need for the team and JPJ could be a lot of fun in this offense.

22. *Trade* Denver Broncos | QB Bo Nix Oregon

The Broncos simple cannot go into the season with that group and end up reaching for a Quarterback.

23. *Trade* Arizona Cardinals | ED Laiatu Latu UCLA

Cardinals get an extra first and consider it a luxury pick. They go with the polished rusher and will take the risk on his potential longevity.

24. Dallas Cowboys | OT Tyler Guyton Oklahoma

Cowboys miss out on the top tackles but they cannot go into the season with that offensive line. Tyler Smith is best at guard and this can facilitate the switch back.

25. Green Bay Packers | CB/S Cooper DeJean Iowa

Feel like this pick is universal out in the world.

26. Tampa Bay Bucs | ED Jared Verse Florida State

Verse has fallen far and don't get me wrong, he is one of my favorite players in this draft. The board just fell the way it did and the restraint that Tamps showed gets rewarded.

27. *Trade* Washington Commanders | OT Jordan Morgan Arizona

The Cardinals trading down once always them to do it once again. The Commanders have the ammo to move up and the rumors seem to be they will and for an offensive lineman. Where I differ is on who; they have met a lot with Morgan and I hears he could sneak into the first, so the rumors fit together.

28. Buffalo Bills | WR Brian Thomas Jr. LSU

The Bills stay patient and are able to find a replacement for Diggs in spirit. Hopefully, Thomas is able to replace the talent level eventually.

29. Detroit Lions | CB Kool-Aid McKinstry Alabama

We all know the Lions are looking to still upgrade the defensive back position. Kool-Aid is my next highest corner and I think he has the type mentality the Dan Campbell can appreciate.

30. Baltimore Ravens | WR Adonai Mitchell Texas

Arguably their biggest need, Adonai has high potential, some say his tape from his early years was better than his Texas tape. There may be some habits that need to be coached away, but his full talents can be seen at Texas. It will be the Ravens job to get it out consistently.

31. San Francisco 49ers | IDL Johnny Newton Illinois

I don't think that the Niners saw this coming. They get their replacement for Armstead who signed with the Jaguars after being cut.

32. Kansas City Chiefs | OT Kingsley Suamataia BYU

The guy started to get some buzz the last few days. The Chiefs have a need and have met with him a bit during this draft process. Certainly a reach for me.

2023 Player Profile Archive

2023 Player Profile Archives Quarterbacks Bryce Young QB Alabama When you watch Bryce Young, you can't help but think of Drew Brees because of the number he wears and the skill he has throwing the ball, while some of his mannerisms, ability to escape the pocket, and ability to throw on the move are almost a spitting image of Deshaun Watson. Bryce Young understands the mental side of the game. His time to throw has increased slightly this season, which is understandable given that he has lost some significant offensive talent. I still believe he has an elite capacity for moving through his progressions with a quick throwing motion that allows for good throw timing. He is also extremely accurate, doing an excellent job of aligning his head, body, and feet for precise ball placement. He demonstrates NFL arm strength when both set and on the run. The inconsistencies in velocity are the source of the majority of my concerns. I believe the problem is fixable and is caused by an inconsist...
